Alyson and Jacob

Alyson and Jacob were married on a gorgeous, early September day overlooking a beautiful mountain view, provided by Veritas Vineyards. Elegant details intertwined with exciting and vibrant colors and design. The floral color story consisted of creams, blush, and greens with pops of poppy red, raspberry, and lime green. Bold blooms and lush greenery made for statement-making bouquets, altars, and arrangements.

Alyson carried a loose, garden-style bouquet, looking as if it was just picked from the garden. Poppy red, raspberry, blush, and orange dahlias were the central floral detail. Garden roses, ranunculus, and seeded eucalyptus added volume and variation. A slight touch of yellow was incorporated as well as a little extra pop. The bouquet was tied in poppy red satin ribbon and pinned with pearls.

Wearing Poppy colored dresses, Alyson’s bridesmaids complemented the color palette wonderfully. They carried bouquets similar to Alyson’s, however, on a smaller scale, The florals were softer in color and design, with a greater emphasis on blush and cream flowers. Dahlias, ranunculus, roses, camellia leaf, and seeded eucalyptus were tied together with a blush satin ribbon.

To celebrate the wedding’s stunning location, we incorporated the Veritas Vineyards signature wine cork into the boutonnieres. For Jacob’s boutonniere, we used a poppy-colored rose bud and seeded eucalyptus. A matching ribbon was tied around the cork to match his bride’s bouquet. The groomsmen wore charcoal suits and also represented Veritas with a wine cork boutonniere. White roses, seeded eucalyptus, and camellia leaf were tied together with the signature poppy colored ribbon.

For the ceremony, we created a birch arch to frame the couple as they took their vows. We dripped the birch branches with stunning blooms, bold greenery, and cascading ribbons. We decided on an asymmetric design in order to make the florals look as if they had grown around the arch organically. The vibrant colors stood out against the natural blue of the mountainside.

The reception was held indoors, but kept the colorful vibrancy of the outdoor ceremony. A handmade lush, green garland of salal and seeded eucalyptus was created to run down the length of the head table. Colorful blooms were woven into the garland as well. Among the swag of greenery, the bridesmaids’ and bride’s bouquets were placed in clear vases and incorporated as centerpieces.

A mix of high glass trumpet vases and low footed bowls were placed throughout the room on the round guest tables. Each centerpiece was lush and loose, replicating the garden style arrangement of the bouquets and the altar arch. We utilized hydrangea, dahlias, roses, lisianthus, and astrantia to create soft tones with pops of colors. Seeded eucalyptus, camellia foliage, and jasmine vine added volume and movement to each piece.

Sophie and MJ

Sophie and MJ were married at Wintergreen Resort, overlooking the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. Bright and saturated colors of fuchsia, pink, blue, navy, and red complemented the summer season. The wedding, though classic and elegant, kept things unique and fresh with interesting floral design.

Sophie’s asymmetric bouquet was breathtaking. Vibrant colors, lush florals, and cascading greenery made for a true statement piece. Orchids, purple clematis, pink and purple roses, lisianthus, dark purple hydrangea, and astrantia were tied together with fuchsia and blue ribbon.

Sophie’s bridesmaids wore dresses of navy and carried bouquets that complemented the color scheme of the wedding. Light purple hydrangea and cream, pale pink, and fuchsia roses were tied with bright pink ribbon.

For the reception, we created low, lush arrangements in rich colors of purple, red, and pink. The centerpieces were arranged in glass cylinders, with the florals and greenery adding texture and volume.

It was a pleasure to create the florals for Sophie and MJ’s wedding, and we wish the couple the best in their future together. Thank you to the amazing Allegra’s Studio for these stunning images, and all of the other amazing vendors involved.

Rebecca and Matt

Rebecca and Matt’s relaxed, vintage style wedding took place at Castle Hill Cider in October of 2015. The couple chose vibrant colors for their wedding party, which allowed us to integrate an interesting mix of bright and romantic florals.

The bride’s bouquet was soft and fulsome in colors of pink and purple. Cascading greenery, orchids, dendrobiums, calla lilies, spray roses, camellia leaves, hydrangeas, and freesia came together to create a textured and asymmetric composition. The bouquet was tied with a purple satin ribbon and pinned with a line of pearls.

The bridesmaids, wearing plum, carried bouquets of purple hydrangea with “Purple Rain” roses, dendrobiums, camelia leaves, and seeded eucalyptus. These bouquets were tied in teal satin ribbon to complement the groomsmen’s ties.

Meredith Sledge Photography captured the wedding in gorgeous detail. Each image manages to highlight the vibrancy and texture of each flower. Explore the gallery below, or visit our Weddings page.
