Classic Hollywood glamour infused with natural enchantment was the inspiration for Brigid and Richard’s October wedding. We played off the lush foliage and lovely backdrop of the Clifton Inn to create the illusion of a luxurious garden party in a magical forest. An elegant, soft mix of florals in ivory and blue and textured greenery was used by our team to reflect the theme.
The stunning bride wore a Lela Rose gown and epitomized old Hollywood charm. We created an understated, loose, and flowing bouquet. Ivory florals in the form of David Austin garden roses, Majolica spray roses, and cream lisianthus were accented with blue tweedia and periwinkle hydrangea. To continue the theme, there was a heavy play on greenery in the bouquet. We chose to add Umbrella fern, jasmine vine, Italian ruskus, and Dusty Miller. The flowers were tied with a slate grey ribbon and pinned with a line of seed pearls.
For the reception, garland and magnolia branches, intertwined with twinkle lights, climbed the central poles of the tent. These organic arrangements sprouted from a base of fern, camellia leaf, and magnolia leaf. The tent poles thus disappeared and became the desired setting of a magical forest.
The head table, placed in the center of the tent, was the focal point. A delicate and lovely green garland of camellia leaf, seeded eucalyptus, and salal ran down the length of the table and spilled out over the center, in front of the bride and groom’s seats. Nestled in the garland, we placed a mix of vintage French glass vases in different heights and sizes. These contained loose arrangements of garden roses, lisianthus, antiqued hydrangeas, ferns, and other greenery. Poured glass votives were also scattered throughout the tables to enhance the magical feeling.
